These plans will show you how to build a Rock Solid Plywood Bench, with vise, for under $250! If you have wanted to build a sturdy shop workbench for some time but were put off by the cost and complexity of a traditional hardwood bench, then these plans are for you! Traditional benches derive much of their strength and rigidity from the mortises and tenons that join the framework. This design combines that joinery with the inherent strength, rigidity, and dimensional accuracy of plywood. An advantage of this design is that the piece can be built without a planer or jointer, perfect for someone just getting started in woodworking.
Features: Make from 2-1/2 sheets of 3/4in thick birch plywood and one sheet of MDF plywood. Mortise and tenon joints without the need for complicated and expensive woodworking machines or tools. Strong, sturdy and inexpensive bench using plywood.
Size: Overall size is 72in wide by 33in deep. Height to top of bench can be 34in to 38in (with the provided plywood cut plan included).
Plans Include: These plans come with step by step instructions, detailed drawings, plywood cutting layout diagrams, and of full color pictures. Also includes some tips and jigs for assembly.
Skill Level: Basic woodworking skills required.
