Build this Arts & Crafts Mission Style Barrister's Bookcase with these detailed how-to plans. Though this style of bookcase was first used exclusively by attorneys (Barristers) and government-types, the stackable units are now extremely popular. And no wonder. You can use them to store just about anything! Keep dust at bay when you store your favorite books, albums, collectables or just about anything in these classic legal bookcases. Great project for home or office!
Features: Make mostly from oak plywood and board. The glass front doors are hinged from the top and they slide in, so you don't have to hold them up when they are open. Designed in the same manner as 19th Century originals, you can stack the modular bookshelf units up to five high. Sturdy design with decorative features like arched lower rails, top crest rail, raised side panels and mission style door knobs.
Size: Each unit measures approximately 15in high, 36-1/4in wide and 13-1/2in deep. Three units are shown in photo.
Plans Include: Detailed step-by-step instructions, color pictures, exploded 3D diagrams, complete materials list and wood layout, cutting diagrams, shop tips and supplies list.
Skill Level: Moderate to advanced woodworking skills required.
