Attach a metal store bought weather vane or make your own from wood (instructions included). Although this design is for an ornamental cupola, it can also be made functional (for ventilation). NOTE: These plans do not go into detail for cutting an opening in the roof if you wish to use the cupola for ventilation purposes.
