Build this Punched Tin Pie Safe storage cabinet from these plans. A very traditional design that will look good in any kitchen, dining room or pantry! Long before iceboxes became a common household item, frugal homemakers everywhere stored their bread and pastries in a pie safe. The decorative punched tin panels allowed ventilation that slowed molding and protected baked goods from insects and rodents. Even though you might not use the cabinet as your ancestors did, this is a great furniture project for any house!
